Alaska has been my home for the last 40 years. That is where I met and married my wife, we eventually had four children. During this time, I worked in Retail, Construction, as an Automotive technician and as an Industrial Controls technician. Which gave me a good deal of experience, but no freedom to work on my own schedule. I was 60+ hours from home every week in the prior fields. We needed a change, we decided to try the RV lifestyle, we began to downsize our belongings and did a trail year in a travel trailer, and found out that it would work for us, and went full time. I still needed to provide for my family, I discovered bookkeeping, it gave me the freedom to spend time with my family and take care of our needs.

So started the journey of the Traveling Bookkeeper, I joined a mentorship program, dove into bookkeeping classes, and started my own bookkeeping business. In 2025 Casto & Crew Bookkeeping was born!

And now I have found something that will take care of our financial needs and give my wife and I the opportunity to teach our children hands on home schooling. Like the history of Niagara Falls, what happened around the areas of the Smokie and Blue Ridge Mountains, and the beauty and science of Arches National Park.
